On initial startup, the Reflect will display a QR code.
Open the Reflect app, follow the on-screen instructions, and scan the QR code. Note: If you're having trouble scanning the QR code, then you may need to step back a little further from the Reflect in order for the scan to work.
Once connected, you will see your network name in the app, and you will then need to type in your network password. 3b. if the Reflect doesn't connect after 20 seconds, the connection attempt will time out. Repeat step 2.
Enter desired name for your Reflect, then press continue.
If the connection is successful, the Reflect will restart and show the home screen.
Note: If you are ever asked to connect to the Reflect network and the app asks you for a password to that network, then the password is "reflect123".
If you have already connected the app to a Reflect and need to connect to another Reflect, then go to the "More" page and select the "Setup Equipment" option to bring up the QR code scanner again.
If you're still having trouble, then find out if you are using a dual-band router, then make sure that the Reflect and device using the app are using a 2.4GHz connection and not attempting to connect to a 5GHz network. One common way to tell if you are using a dual-band router is the SSID (network name) will be shown twice on the available Wi-Fi networks list. The issue could be the hotspot of the Reflect that connects to the device that is using the app, or it could be the Wi-Fi adapter in the Reflect that connects to the home network. If you do not see the QR code on the Reflect, but there is information such as the weather and time on the screen of the Reflect, then the Reflect has successfully connected to the Wi-Fi network, and the culprit of the issue is most likely the hotspot in the Reflect and the Reflect would need to be replaced.
